How much do you know about the connection mode of industrial valves

release time:2022-12-27publisher:

How is the connection between industrial valves and pipelines or facilities? The running, emitting, dripping and leaking of industrial valves, most of the problems basically occur at the connection. Today we will talk about the connection mode of industrial valves.

1. Flange connection is a common connection mode for valves. It can also be divided into:

1) Lubricated type: used for valves with low pressure.

2) Concave convex type: high task pressure, medium hard sealing ring can be used

3) Grooved type: seal ring with large plastic deformation can be used. It is widely used in corrosive media and has good sealing effect.

4) Trapezoidal groove type: flat round metal ring is used as sealing ring for valves with task pressure ≥ 64kg/cm2 or cryogenic valves.

5) Lens type: the sealing ring is the shape of the lens and is made of metal. It is used for low pressure valve or low temperature valve with task pressure ≥ 100kg/cm2.

6) O-ring type: this is a new flange connection mode, which has come to a standstill with the emergence of rubber O-rings of various groups. It is more reliable than normal flat seals in sealing effect.

2. Wafer connection

3. Butt welding connection

4. Fingerprint connection, which is a tedious connection method, is rarely used for small valves. There are two situations:

1) Indirect sealing: internal and external fingerprints play an indirect sealing role. The sealing effect is good, and it is easy to use and destroy. When assembling, it can be removed intact. Because it is a layer of cohesionless film, it is much more favorable than lead oil and hemp.

2) Direct sealing: the fingerprint tightening force is transmitted to the sealing ring between the two solids to make the sealing ring play a sealing role.

5. Ferrule connection: It can reliably prevent leakage. The advantages of this connection mode are: 1) small volume, light weight, easy structure, simple disassembly;

2) Strong connection force, wide application range, and can withstand low pressure (1000 kg/cm2), low temperature (650 ℃) and frontal vibration;

3) Able to select a variety of data, suitable for erosion prevention;

4) Processing density request is not high;

5) It is convenient for ground installation. At present, ferrule connection mode has been adopted in some domestic small caliber valve goods.

6. Clamp connection This is a quick connection method, which requires only two nuts, and is applicable to high-pressure valves that are often assembled.

7. It refers to the connection mode in which the medium pressure stops self tightening. Its gasket is installed at the inner cone, forming a definite position on the side opposite to the medium. The medium pressure is transmitted to the inner cone and then to the gasket. On the cone of the definite position, two components occur, one parallel to the core line of the valve body and the other parallel to the inner wall of the valve body. The front component is the self tightening force. The greater the medium pressure, the greater the self tightening force. Because this connection mode is suitable for low pressure valves. Compared with flange connection, it saves a lot of data and labor, but it also requires a certain pre tightening force, which can be used reliably when the pressure inside the valve is not high. The valve made by applying the self tight sealing principle is normally a low-pressure valve. There are many ways to connect valves. Similar small valves do not need to be removed. Industrial valves are riveted together with pipes; Some metal valves adopt socket connection, etc. The valve operator shall take a detailed view according to the condition of the equipment.

8. There are many connection methods for other industrial valves, and small valves with similar parts that need not be removed are riveted together with pipes; Some metal valves adopt socket connection. The valve operator shall look at the connection mode of industrial valves in detail according to the equipment conditions.
